Safe Driver

Safe Driver is an educational interactive application. The goal is to make people understand how  dangerous it is to be distracted while driving.

The user is immersed in what appears to be a driving simulation inside a vehicle in an urban environment.

The experience can be divided into two phases. The first has two main objectives:

1. Contextualize the game world, in order to increase user's identification in the pseudo-narrative context.
2. Explain the application mechanics, showing which elements can be interacted with and some possible actions.
   Here are some examples of interactions:

• Phone notifications / calls
• Radio buttons interactions
• Car elements interactions (directional lights, dashboard, lights, wipers...)
• And more..

During the second phase, the user is asked to independently manage distractions while driving the vehicle through the city.

This project has been done for the Virtual Reality course, Ingegneria del Cinema e dei mezzi di comunicazione, Politecnico di Torino.
